Before You Start:
Download Nexus USB Drivers on your PC and install them. (Google Drivers work for nexus devices)
Make sure the Nexus 6P bootloader is unlock.
Backup all important data on your device.
Enable USB debugging on Nexus 6P: Head to Menu > Settings > Applications. Scroll down to the Developer Options and tap on it to enable USB debugging.
Please ensure that Nexus 6P has 80% charging before starting the process to avoid accidental device shutdown.

Steps To Flash Android 7.0 Nougat NBD90X on Nexus 5P
1 – Connect Nexus 6P to PC using USB cable.
2 – Make sure ADB and Fastboot is installed on PC.
3 – Now to start the device in Fastboot mode: Turn on the phone while pressing and holding the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons until you see the Fastboot menu on the screen with the START on top.
4 – Extract the downloaded Android 7.0 Nougat NBD90X file on PC.
5 – Head to the ‘angler-nbd90x’ folder and copy all the files from this folder to the Fastboot directory (C:/Program Files/Android/sdk/platform-tools).
6 – Now to flash the desired factory image to your Nexus 6P, open the folder containing the Android 7.0 Nougat factory image (the one you downloaded and extracted above).
7 – In the folder’s address bar, type cmd followed by the command mentioned below and hit the Enter key.
- flash-all.bat (for Windows)
- flash-all.sh (for MAC)
- flash-all.sh (Linux)
8 – Wait for the scrip to execute after which the device will reboot. First reboot takes several minutes to complete, so don’t be alarmed if the device takes around 5 or more minutes to reboot.
After reboot Android 7.0 Nougat NBD90X with October security patch will be installed on the Nexus 6P. Next, its time to root Nexus 6P.
How To Root Nexus 6P on Android 7.0 Nougat NBD90X:
Download SuperSU 2.78 on PC.
Download and Install Android SDK on PC.
Ensure that the device has TWRP or CWM custom recovery installed on it.
Download Fastboot from the links below for your PC operating system and extract its content in Android-adk-windows\platform-tools directory. Manually create a new directory folder if there is none.
How To Root LG Nexus 6P:
1 – Connect your device to PC via USB cable.
2 – Copy and paste SuperSu zip file to your device’s SD card root folder.
3 – Turn OFF your Nexus 6P.
4 – To enter the Bootloader mode, press and hold Volume Down + Power keys.
5 – Navigate to Android-adk-windows\platform-tools directory and open command prompt (Shift + Right Click on mouse > Open Command Prompt) and type the following command:
flashboot flash recovery twrp-126.96.36.199-angler.img
Note: You can replace twrp version 188.8.131.52 in the above command for the one installed on your device.
6 – From the Fastboot menu, select Recovery to enter the recovery mode.
7 – Scroll to flash zip from SD card > choose zip from sdcard option in the TWRP or CWM custom recovery mode.
8 – Locate SuperSu-v2.78-201609011115.zip file and select it, use the volume keys to navigate through the menu.
9 – Swipe to confirm the process.
10 – Once the installation is complete, return to the +++++Go Back and reboot your Nexus device. First reboot takes a few minutes to complete, so don’t panic if your device takes long to reboot, its normal during this process.
