Leaked images of the next Surface Pro shows tablet show a device that shares an unmistakable resemblance to the last year’s model in terms of looks and design. Microsoft has finished sending out invites to another event to be held in a few weeks time where the company is expected to unveil a new tablet as a successor to the Surface Pro 4. Images of this rumored device have already been leaked online with the title Surface Pro 5. But Microsoft could drop number 5 at the end of the name of its next tablet.
The images of the upcoming Surface Pro have been leaked online by usually reliable @evleaks on Twitter. Evan Blass’s past record suggests that these images indeed belong to the upcoming Surface Pro tablet.
As you can in the leaked images below that Microsoft could indeed go with the same design as last year’s Surface tablet with most of the changes taking place inside the machine on the hardware side. The new tablet will feature latest Intel 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor.
Side view of the leaked image makes it abundantly clear that the new Surface Pro device will include the same power connector as the previous Surface Pro 4. A 3.5mm headphone hack, Mini DisplayPort, and USB Type-A port which shows there won’t be a USB Type-C port.
@evleaks says that the upcoming tablet will have a new Pen and type cover color options that will closely match the current lineup of Surface laptop.
May 23rd will be the likely date when Microsoft will release its new Surface Pro tablet at hardware event in Chine, however, it’s very much a guess, actual release could be in or around June – July.
