Samsung has begin the process the issuing press invites for the Mobile World Congress 2017. Judging from the historical patterns, such press invites signal imminent release of a new device. If you are expecting the mystery device the Samsung is going to unveil at WMC to be the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, then you’re in for a disappointment. Samsung is going to to unfurl a new device – not the Galaxy S8 – during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Samsung Set To Launch A New Tablet Device At WMC 2017
Samsung’s official press invite have made one thing certain that the company is planning to release a new device WMC. Invite image shows a device that resemble more a tablet than a smartphone, which lends credence to rumors that Samsung will unveil a new tablet device at WMC. Samsung Galaxy S8 fans will have to wait a bit longer as latest reports seems to be pointing towards a delayed launch. We can’t blame Samsung for taking its time before launching Galaxy S8, especially after the disastrous Note 7 launch. Samsung announced in Note 7 investigation report that the company will undertake thorough tests for Galaxy S8 to avoid the embarrassment that ensued the Note 7 launch.
Samsung’s decision to withhold the launch of the Galaxy S8 at WMC does mean we won’t be seeing a new device from the company. In a tweet sent from the official Samsung account, gave a hint of what we might expect from the company at WMC event later this month. It looks like, most probably the Galaxy Tab S3 will be unveiled with beefed up specs and design changes. Rumors are pointing to a Galaxy Tab S3 tablet with a 9.6-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera, Android 7.0 Nougat and a $599 price starting price.
