Alleged image of the official upcoming flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S8, has surfaced online and here we have managed to grab the alleged leaked image of the device for your viewing pleasure. Samsung is planning to unveil its next lineup of high-end phones sometime in February or March. Here are the details.
Following up on the Galaxy Note 7 disaster, whose painful memory will linger on for some time to come in the minds of the fans of Samsung Galaxy devices, the company is in the final stages of the arrangements before the imminent launch of the Galaxy S8 phone. Samsung’s current flagship device, the Galaxy S7 Edge, has been a massive hit along with its little brother, the Galaxy S7 phone. Their followup device, the Galaxy Note 7, brought financial and PR carnage in its wake due device explosion issues prompting the South Korean tech giant to shut down the Note 7 lineup altogether.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been hugely popular, following up on their success will be a hard act to follow for Samsung. But if the new alleged leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S8 are to be believed, the company may well have produced a winning device.
In terms of design, which a new leak report claims to show in the image shared below in this post, you can see some changes on the device’s design which is being marketed to possess a revolutionary design. 2017 could be the year when we finally start seeing smartphones without physical home button. However, one look at the leaked image is enough to make it clear barring a few minor changes in device design there is not much to write home about.
First thing that’s noticeable from the leaked image is the absence of a physical home button which the users of Galaxy devices are so used to with. Some reports are claiming that the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back-end of the device allowing for the removal of the home button from the alleged device’s front panel.
Removing the home button has also made it possible to deign a device with smaller top and bottom bezels. It not clear on the alleged leaked image whether the home, menu and back button on the Android firmware are still available or they too have been replaced with new functions. This leaked image, appears to confirm previous leaked reports that Samsung will finally ditch the physical home button in its upcoming Galaxy S8 phone.
Another part of this latest leaked report relates to the release date of the device. According to some of the past rumors, the device was destined to launch in March, but this latest rumor report shows that it may be a bit later in the Spring that you will get to the official Samsung Galaxy S8 device in all its glory with mass production starting in March.
As we approach ever so close to the eventual release date of the Galaxy S8, expect more leaks and rumors to popup from time to time. As usual, we will keep you informed regarding all the latest rumors and leaks regarding the Galaxy S8 device.
