Ever since the Pangu jailbreak team teased images of iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak, expectation level has increased considered among the fans of iOS jailbreak who are waiting for the public release of the latest jailbreak. Pangu are famous for releasing stable iOS jailbreak solutions and the upcoming iOS 10.3.1. shouldn’t be any different. Pangu team develops jailbreaks that when installed on an iOS device allows users to perform all sorts of customization tasks using jailbreak compatible tweaks, apps, tools and much more. Unlike Android, iOS doesn’t offer many tweaks that can be used to twist iOS as per user requirements unless Apple allows you to do so, which won’t be happening anytime soon. That’s why jailbreak is useful to liberate iOS from the clutches of Apple imposed restrictions on the way you can use it. But a new rumor is claiming that Pangu team are holding out jailbreak release until Apple rolls out official iOS 10.3.2 firmware next week.
Pangu team already gave us a glimpse of jailbroken iPhone running iOS 10.3.1 a couple of days ago. And now a post that appeared on the Chinese social media Weibo claims that the Pangu iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak is almost ready and could be available for public anytime now.
The post also states that a jailbreak for iOS 10.3.1 is being given final touches by Pangu team, but the public release would only see the light of the day only after Apple pushes iOS 10.3.2 official firmware worldwide. This is being done to make sure Apple doesn’t identify and plug the loopholes in the iOS which Pangu is exploiting to achieve the jailbreak.
If you are planning to jailbreak your device, you should probably avoid updating to iOS 10.3.2 when it releases. And if you are using a jailbroken device then you should hold off updating to iOS 10.3.1 until the jailbreak actually arrives for public.
Here is what the Weibo post claimed about the release of iOS 10.3.1. jailbreak:
If all things happen accordingly, then Apple should release iOS 10.3.2 to the public next week, but students (slang for followers of) looking to jailbreak should wait, because @PanguTeam is planning to release an iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak tool (codenamed Janus), the average person would expect this tool to be released after iOS 10.3.2 is released to the public. Of course, once again, if you’re not on iOS 10.3.1 (implying if you are below iOS 10.3.1), you should probably not upgrade your firmware just in case this is an Oolong (slang for something being fake).
So far we haven’t got any conclusive signal from the Pangu team whether they are going to release jailbreak or not and at what date. So take this rumor with a grain of salt. Let’s hope Pangu jailbreak is released sooner rather than later.
