The OnePlus 3 & 3T (2016) models were made up of decent design coated with generic metal chassis. OnePlus managed to created just the right blend of performance and cost which translated in high demand and even better sales. This year’s OnePlus 5 is getting ever so close to launch and judging from the latest leaked images it can be seen that the upcoming phone looks almost identical to the last year’s model. It seems OnePlus is happy to retain the same last year design for OnePlus 5 because why shake things up when they have worked so well for the company so far. Moreover, smartphone manufacturers are mainly focusing on the performance rather than looks in modern phones. Most of the changes are being baked inside the next OnePlus flagship device.
OnePlus 5 New Leaked Image Surfaces Online – Shows A Device With Metal Body And A Main Dual-Lens Back End Camera
New Leaked Images of the next OnePlus 5 shows a device that looks a lot like its predecessor the OnePlus 3. If you look at the leaked image, it’s apparent that a sturdy looking metal chassis is housing the interiors of the device. Which clearly gives a solid signal that the manufacturer isn’t willing to tweak the phone design much from what we already saw in the 2016 model.
The leaked image shows one thing in OnePlus 5 which was missing from the previous OnePlus 3 – a duel lens camera. It is evident from two lens covers at the rare end of the device in the leaked image, which came down to use courtesy Slashleaks, that OnePlus is ready to make a shift towards a duel camera concept which has already been embraced by most modern smartphone manufacturers.
We can only guess from the image that the OnePlus 5 has a metal body, but some other rumors are reporting a mixture of metal and glass chassis. If it turns out to be real, it would not only result in a better looking device, it would also make it possible to incorporate wireless charging technology. Although OnePlus does have a reliable Dash Charge technology on most of its phone, but wireless charging would be welcome feature.
OnePlus 5 will allegedly feature an AMOLED QHD display resolution. Battery capcaity of 4000mAh is being rumored for the OnePlus 5. However, since the leaked image shows that the phone looks similar to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, it would be overoptimistic on our part to expect the company to be able to slot in over 3,400mAh battery in a body with the thickness of last year model.
