OnePlus 5 leaves Samsung Galaxy S8 scores way behind in the latest single and multi core tests conducted by a benchmark site. According to benchmark results, OnePlus 5 scored 1963 in single-core test and 6687 in multi-core test, which is more than the score registered by the Galaxy S8 on similar benchmark tests.

Samsung is basking in the glorious success of its new Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones. Both phones are breaking previous sales records all across the globe. Samsung has slotted in the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor inside both S8 & S8+ phones. More and more manufacturers are releasing new phones with the new Snapdragon 835 processors. Recently we saw Xiaomi launched Mi 6 featuring Snapdragon 835, so it can be said that having a Snapdragon 835 can’t be considered a deciding factor anymore.

OnePlus smartphone fans are still waiting for their favorite phone company to release this year’s model. Previous rumors hinted that this OnePlus 5 will be the successor of the last year’s OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. New device is coming with the high-end specs.

According to a new report which was uploaded on GSM Arena, OnePlus 5 outscored and outclassed new Samsung Galaxy S8 based on the scores in a benchmark test. It’s really a surprise to see that OnePlus 5 has managed to score 1963 in single-core test and 6687 in multi-core test.

As for the test scores registered by Samsung Galaxy S8, the device scored 1929 in single-core test and 6084 in multi-core test. So, on both benchmark tests the OnePlus 5 has left Samsung Galaxy S8 behind in terms of performance and speed.

According to rumor mill, OnePlus 5 is being tipped to arrive with 8GB RAM and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Alleged leaked images of the device show that it will have slimmer bezels and newly designed navigation keys compared to the last year’s phones.

Moreover, reports linked to the OnePlus 5 are saying that the upcoming phone will receive a bump in the internal storage department with 256GB. A 5.5-inch 2K display with 23 megapixel dual lens camera round off the rest of the main specs.
