Nokia is in the news quite a lot as the company gears up for the release of its first smartphone after an absence from the tech scene following Microsoft’s writing Nokia off from its book as a loss. Nokia is planning a grand reentry into the smartphone business this year with its series of new devices including the Nokia 6 along with the Nokia 8 and the Nokia P1 among several other rumored phones. After Nokia’s breakup with Microsoft it has now moved on to the Android firmware as the main OS for its mobile devices, which you will see in upcoming Nokia smartphones. According to latest reports, Nokia seems poised to make a strong comeback as the company’s latest Nokia 6 phones were sold out in roughly a minute after they were put on sale by Chinese online retailer JD.com the other day. Nokia is initially launching the Nokia 6 only in China before expected global release following suit. Here’s are the details.
Nokie 6 Sold Out In A Minute After the Opening Of The Initial Online Orders
Nokia 6 is selling like a hot cake, which indicates that despite Nokia’s falling behind the line of major smartphone manufacturers people still care about the brand, and importantly trust it. Latest news emerging out of China are painting a rosy picture as far as the future prospects of Nokia in the smartphone market are concerned. It’s being reported that the upcoming limited Nokia 6 phone devices were offered as a part of the initial flash sale by online retailer JD.com and all of over a million registered members who had signed up for the Nokia 6 ordered the device which ran out a minute after it was put on for sale.
This news has surely helped Nokia 6 attract people’s attention before its widespread launch soon. The WMC 2017 event in Barcelona, which is happening next month, is being tipped as the occasion where the Nokia 6 along with the Nokia P1 will be officially unveiled. Nokia is positioning the Nokia P1 as the flagship device, while the Nokia 6 looks like a mid-range device judging by its specs.
The Nokia 6 is powered by Android Nougat firmware. The device’s 5.5-inch panel offers a full 1080p HD resolution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset will serve as the main powerhouse. As for the camera, the Nokia 6 sports a 15 Megapixel main back-end camera with f/2.0 aperture with the capability of recording 1080p video. A 3,000mAh battery will be enough to last one entire day of heavy use.
