According a new report, Apple is allegedly already working on the 2017 model of the device premium iPhone device with 5.5-inch or larger screen display.
Those who have been constantly in touch with iPhone rumors over the last couple of months would surely be familiar with hints of upcoming premium high-end model of iPhone being termed ‘iPhone Pro’ mooted on more than a few occasions and by multiple sources. With each rumor and leak, this idea seems to be getting more credibility.
Since the announcement of the launch of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus next month, rumors about the iPhone Pro models have tapered off a bit. Earlier many had expected that Apple might throw in a surprise with a new Pro model of iPhone device but it appears that Apple has moved the launch of iPhone Pro to 2017.
According to a report by Nikkei Asian Review, Apple is going to announce only iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models next money with iPhone Pro expected to launch in 2017. The report further claims that Apple will release a new premium iPhone Pro with curved edges and OLED display meshed with the current 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch form factor. The iPhone Pro, with yet undisclosed screen size, will be made available for sale alongside other flatter iPhone devices next year.
“There will be a 4.7-inch model, another that will be 5.5-inch and a premium handset that will be either 5.5-inch or larger equipped with a screen bent on the two sides,” the source said, adding the first two will continue to have flat screens, like current Apple mobile devices”
This news moots the possibility of an iPhone device similar to Samsung’s current offering in Galaxy lineup with curved edges. While iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are being marketed on their camera and internal powerful features. It seems that next year, we might finally see some new shaped iPhone devices from Apple.
