In the following step-by-step guide, you’ll learn how to jailbreak iOS 11 to iOS 11.1.2 on your iPhone X, iPhone 8/8s and other 64-bit Apple devices using LiberiOS jailbreak tool. If you are here, it means you are looking for an easy, working solution to jailbreak iOS 11 – 11.1.2 firmware on a jailbreak compatible device.
In terms of status, there is not much that makes LiberiOS different from other iOS jailbreaks – it is available in semi-tethered state, which means it will require re-jailbreaking device after every reboot. Furthermore, jailbreak app needs to be resigned every 7 days or so, if you use a free Apple ID.
Main credit for this jailbreak goes to Jonathan Levin who used an exploit released by Google’s Project Zero member, Ian Beer. While working to identify loopholes in iOS, Ian Beer discovered a patch that could be used to design a jailbreak exploit. Well, soon after the initial announcement, Levin went about his work and finally rolled out iOS 11 jailbreak for public.

How To Jailbreak iOS 11 – iOS 11.1.2 [Guide]
Before starting, please note that Cydia and Cydia Substrate don’t work with the solution yet. Saurik has said that he is working on it, so wait for it to arrive. For now, follow the steps below to achieve jailbreak for root and SSH access.
Step 1 – Start by connecting your 64-bit device running iOS 11 to iOS 11.1.2 using a lightening cable.
Step 2 – Launch latest version of iTunes on computer.
Step 3 – Backup your device’s data before starting in order to make it easy to restore if anything goes wrong during the jailbreak process.
Step 4 – Now launch Cydia Impactor tool on your computer.
Step 5 – Drag and drop the downloaded LiberiOS Jailbreak IPA file onto the Cydia Impactor’s interface.
Step 6 – Next, enter your Apple ID credentials when prompted, and wait for Cydia Impactor to sideload the signed app IPA file. If you are new to Cydia, check out our guide on how to sideload IPA files: Sideload iOS Apps from Third-Party Developers using Cydia Impactor for Windows and Mac Without Jailbreak.
Step 7 – Wait for the app to sideload. Once done, go to Settings > General > Profile (s) & Device Management (on some device, General > Device Management) and tap on the relevant profile linked to the jailbreak app. This is important to make the LiberiOS jailbreak work on your device.
Step 8 – Return to the home screen and tap on the LiberiOS icon to launch the app.
Step 9 – Now tap Do It right in the middle of the app’s interface and wait while it jailbreaks your iOS device in the background.
Step 10 – Once complete, you will see a confirmation message on the screen.
That’s all. Your device should be in jailbroken mode now.
Note: This jailbreak is semi-tethered. This means it requires you to put your device back into Jailbreak state after every reboot. For that, simply repeat the steps 8 & 9 above. Enjoy!
