1 – Download No-Frills CPU Control App from the above link and download it on your Galaxy S5. This app allows you to maximize and change processor frequency.
2 – Launch the app on your device. There are a few options in the app: Max Clock Frequency, Min Clock Frequency, and Governor and I/O scheduler.
3 – Now, to change the processor speed to maximum, tap the Max. clock frequency option. Then, you can set desired CPU speed frequency.
4 – You can repeat the above step by selecting Min. speed option to lower the frequency of the Galaxy S5 processor for certain tasks.
Note: Setting frequency too low might lead to your device experiencing lags and freeze. While too high a frequency can cause fast battery drain. So keep this in mind.
