In this guide, we are going to show you how to enable WiFi sharing on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. If you’re an Android user, you must be familiar with the fact the Android tethering feature was the main source of sharing device network connection with another device. However, Android tethering mobile hotspot option was only limited to sharing mobile data connection with other devices. It’s not possible to share mobile your phone’s WiFi connection with mobile hotspot. But in Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices, Samsung has lifted this restriction by introducing a useful new feature called, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge WiFi Sharing. Yes, you can share WiFi network connection from your Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge device but first you need to enable WiFi sharing in Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones.
You need to manually enable WiFi sharing in S7 / S7 Edge as its OFF by default. When the WiFi sharing is enabled on your device. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices can act as a WiFi repeater to relay WiFi connection signals to another device. With WiFi Sharing option enabled, you can also use your Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as a WiFi signal extender to extend the range of WiFi coverage in your area.

How To Enable WiFi Sharing on Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge
1 – Open the Settings app on your device.
2 – Enable WiFi sharing option by heading over to Mobile hotspot and tethering > More.
3 – Basically that’s all you’re required to do in order to enable Wifi sharing option on Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge.
The WiFi Sharing feature is only available on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices. Users of Galaxy S6 series and earlier are out of luck unfortunately. Some reports are pointing that Verizon has permanently disabled WiFi sharing feature on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones. If you’re using Verizon Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge device, you may not be able to activate WiFi sharing using the trick above, although, you can try anyway to see if its working.
