Windows 10 Creators Update features a new Night Light mode which is specifically designed by Microsoft to put less eye strain when working on a Windows 10 device, which in turn improve sleep quality at night. This new setting in the Windows 10 Creators Update helps reduce eye strain and improves sleep quality when you finish up working on Windows 10 PC.
Night Light reduces the amount of blue light on the display unit of a Windows 10 device. This is similar to the day light in its effect and when your eyes are fixated on a computer screen while being exposed to this kind of light for long period of time it can be harmful and puts strain on them, which also disrupts sleep patterns. In Windows 10 Creators Update, you can tone down the blue light and enhance warmer colors that are easy on the eyes and help you fall sleep better and faster at night.

Enable Night Light in Windows 10
1 – Open Settings.
2 – Click on System.
3 – Click on Display.
4 – Under Brightness and color, turn the Night Light toggle to ON position.
5 – Alternatively, press Windows key + A on keyboard and click the Night Light button in the Action Center. If Quick action button isn’t showing, click the expand button to see hidden buttons.
Configure Night Light in Windows 10
1 – Go to Settings > System > Display.
2 – Under Brightness and color, click the Night Light settings link.
3 – In the Night Light settings page, use the slider to adjust the color temperature according to your preference.
4 – Here, you can also enable the Schedule night light toggle switch, which allows to manual configuration when this mode is ON.
For example, when Sunset on sunrise is set, Windows 10 automatically determines your current location and time and configures Night Light accordingly.
And when the Set hours option is selected, it will tell Windows 10 when to turn ON and OFF the Light Night feature.
5 – Once desired Night Light settings are set, you can close Settings.
Windows 10 will automatically change the color temperature of your device screen depending on the settings you have set using the above steps. It will reduce eye strain and improve sleep quality at night.
Night Light feature is only available starting from the Windows 10 Creators Update. If you don’t see this option in Settings, it means your device isn’t running on the Creators Update.
