Grab your Xperia Z2 smartphone and open its Dialer app. Next, while remaining in the Dialer app on the Xperia Z2, key in the following key code combination: *#*#7378423#*#* and press dial button.
If you have seen the service menu on Galaxy S5, you will notice that the service/diagnostics menu on the Xperia Z2 offers lot more test options and information regarding various component of the phone. You will be able to see main software information, details about the firmware of each hardware component on your device, and more.
In order to enable/access hidden service menu on your Sony Xperia Z2, navigate to Service Info > Configuration and see what is showing under root status. If the root status says NO, then you cannot unlock the bootloader of your Xperia Z2.
