Here is the List of Devices Confirmed to Get Android 7.0 Nougat Update


Android 7.0 Nougat is being rolled out official on devices all across the globe and here we have the list of devices confirmed to get Android 7.0 Nougat update. So far Google released Nexus devices compatible version of its latest mobile operating system. As far as Android is concerned it has always been a tough task to predict when exactly Android gets updated on devices other than Google’s own Nexus devices on which it released Stock Android version before on devices from other manufacturers. According to reports, HTC and Sony are the only two non-Nexus devices that are about to get Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC recently announced that Android N update is coming on their devices this year. Considering we are almost in September, so it won’t be long before HTC device owners get Android Nougat 7.0 update notification on their phones. Japanese electronic juggernaut Sony already issued a statement in a similar vein, however, not much is known about rest of the Android based smartphone manufacturers.

Those who have purchases Sony smartphone in the last few years should brace themselves for Android 7.0 Nougat update. Google Nexus devices have already been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat. Since Nexus lineup is Google’s own set of devices, so transferring all Stock Android firmware features on them takes little time and effort. Nexus users are already enjoying best new features of the latest and greatest Google mobile operating system. Porting Android on devices from other manufacturers is not a straight forward task, there are many company specific factory that delay the upgrading process to the latest Android versions. Samsung, Motorola, LG and other Phone Makers

Samsung owners might have to wait a while before being able to use Android Nougat on Galaxy devices. We know for a fact that even Marshmallow release on Samsung devices was delayed due to numerous factors chief among which was the difficulty of updating large variety of Samsung device with different network carriers at the same time. Users of Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7 may well have to wait until the early next year to get Android N update.

Finally the question arises what about those who have Android device other than Nexus or those mentioned above? When would they get Android 7.0 update? If past trend is any indicator, Motorola and LG mobile users should take solace in the fact that their devices have constantly been upgraded to latest Android version at some point. They should expect Nougat update in near future but on which devices is not confirmed yet.

We known that LG V20 will be the first non-Nexus Android phone to come out with Android 7.0 Nougat installed on it. LG G5 should get Android 7.0 update soon.
