If latest leaked images of Samsung Galaxy S8 case renders are to be believed, the upcoming Samsung flagship could end up featuring a 3.5mm jack, a USB-C port, and a third port for an unknown feature. This leak flies in the face of previous rumors tipping that Samsung is getting ready to ditch 3.5mm earphone jack on its Galaxy S8 smartphone. Latest renders of the upcoming Galaxy S8 hints at a different looking device than the one we had imagined, or was being reported in previous Galaxy S8 leaks. There is a third opening on the rendered case leak images for a reason unknown yet.
Previous leaks related to the Galaxy S8 suggested that following on the footsteps of Apple, Samsung may finally take the bold step and get rid of the commonly used a 3.5mm headphone jack from its next flagship device. But this rendered leak images show the otherwise opposite of that claim.
Leaked Images of Possible Case Render for Galaxy S8 Hint at a 3.5mm Headphone Jack, USB Charging Port, And a Third Mysterious Port for a Purpose Unknown Yet
As is common knowledge that mobile phone case designers have their insiders in every company who tip them about the design features of the upcoming devices so that they can prepare casings ready and shipped at the time of the product launch. This latest leaked image of the case renders of Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be pointing towards a possibility that the next phone will not lack a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also a space for the USB-C port in the pictures of the rendered casing.
Back end of the case suggests that the device will feature a single rather than a dual-lens camera setup that we saw in the iPhone 7 Plus. Dual camera setup will surely takes the images photography to a new level, if its does indeed feature in the Galaxy S8. On the left side of the case, we can see space for volume up, volume down, and power/standby buttons in line with the Ghostek case render images leaked the other day and can be seen below. There is also a microSD card slot on the right side of the leaked case images.
According to rumors the Galaxy S8 is likely to enter mass production in time for March or April release. Samsung usually unveils and releases its new lineup of flagship devices around late February, but this time the launch could be delayed by a few weeks as the company wants to take its time to test the device to avoid issues from surfacing that resulted in the eventual global recall of the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
