Developer Activision announced yesterday that the title of the next COD installment will be Call of Duty: WWII which will take us back to the most intense World War II battles in an environment that’s never been produced before in any game based on the WWII theme.
Only a day after the reveal of the official title of the next game in the Call of Duty franchise more leaks regarding game play features have graced the internet. And the source of these new COD leaks is none other than Sledgehammer who has released details about the game settings for the Normandy mission, new cooperative standalone story mode, and access to a private beta for those who manage to secure pre-orders for Call of Duty: WWII. That’s not it, three new in-game images of the WWII have also leaked on the official Call of Duty website by mistake.
In the end, studio head and co-founder of Sledgehammer Michael Condrey had a message for the fans of COD which was delivered from the London’s Churchill War Rooms, and says that the studio undertook an extensive research spanning over two years to gather historical records for the purpose of gleaning most authentic and accurate information so that the game depicts the historical events without any sort of misrepresentation of facts and actual events that unfolded during the WWII.
Call of Duty: WWII’s schedule unveiling date is April 26th and the official launch is set for November 3rd, 2017, just in time for the Christmas holiday season.
