Apple To Launch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in October Avers Analyst
As we have come to expect before any Apple product launch, rumors and information about the new products dominate the discourse of technology news and rumors. Macbook Pro and Macbook Air are the current subject of Apple rumors. Although not much is known about Macbook Air, we are not even sure whether the update will bring any significant changes in the device’s hardware. Macbook Pro house Inter mobility chipsets that lack Apple’s own the iPad Pro’s A9X processor in terms of performance with the latter consistently outperforming the former on many raw benchmarks. Intel processor do get the benefit of the company’s brand name so much so that even its low performing mid-level solutions are hailed superior to some relatively superior offering in the market and we can attribute this to the subjective believes rather than hard facts.
But one thing is near certain that both Macbook Pro and Macbook Air are set to get refresh and a much needed one at that. Rhoda Alexander of IHS Securities recently averred that that Macbook upgrade is imminent. In his interview given to Forbes, she asserts that production for both Macbook Air and Macbook Pro started in the second quarter of 2016. The 15.4-inch Macbook Pro and the 13.3-inch Macbook Air are inline to be launched with the latest refresh in October.
The news about the new Macbook launch would be a welcome relief for many Macbook fans who wait anxiously to see what’s next Apple has planned for Macbook models. As we mentioned earlier that Rhoda Alexander said that the production of the new Macbooks has already started, this early schedule puts in doubt the rumors that indicate that the new Apple Macbook Pros may have latest Intel Kaby Lake processors embedded. Rhoda Alexander says, “given the timing of the start of production, inclusion of Intel’s Kaby Lake chip appears unlikely.” Although, we don’t known yet whether the new notebooks would include Kaby Lake, but recent rumors seem to suggest otherwise.
In other Macbook related rumors, AMD’s Polaris GPUs have been alleged to become a part of the next assembled Macbook Pro lineups. If true, this has all the making of mounting a stern challenge to Skylake’s graphical performance, which sadly lags behind many top-end graphical units on most other $1000+ costing notebooks around. We are still not sure which GPU Apple will go with in upcoming Macbook Pro, at the moment rumors are hinting towards the Skylake, while the most fans would have their fingers crossed to gave Kaby Lake in the new Macbooks. Stay tuned for more Macbook related rumors as we will bring more news, information and leaks regarding Macbook Air and Macbook Pro launch in October.
