Sony’s Xperia XA is in the news these days as rumors are circulating that the follow up of the Xerpia XA mid-range smartphone launching soon. It appears the successor device of the Xperia XA, dubbed as the Xperia XA2 in leaks, will be launched soon with upgraded specs and redesigned body. Latest alleged leaked images of the Xperia XA followup device show a phone with small bezels and beefed up specs.
Sony Xperia XA Leaked Images Show A Device With Thin Bezels And Better Hardware Compared To The Last Model
As you can see in the leaked images below, the Xperia XA2 can be seen with extremely thin bezels on both sides of the display. At the same time we can relatively bigger bezels on the top and bottom ends of the device. Narrow Bezels will sure allow for more screen real estate than the currently available model of the Xperia XA device. Perhaps Sony doesn’t want to compromise the one-handed grip of the device while allowing for larger display panel, that’s why company opted for narrow bezels only on the sides. Larger display size also means Sony had to leave enough room to slot in bigger battery which seems to be made possible with bigger bezels on the top and bottom ends. Since it’s a mid-range device, slimming the top and bottom ends would mean having to incorporate more expensive display panel whose cost would have to be passed on to the end consumer, and this would not be appropriate for a mid-range device whose whole point of sale is its low price.
It’s worth mentioning that the Xperia XA has a petty 2300mAh battery, which is in no way acceptable to modern smartphone users. We can expect Sony to make significant strides as far as battery is concerned in the Xperia XA successor device. As you can see in the leaked images leaked by MyDrivers, Android Nougat is rocking the new refreshed Xeperia XA2. As is apparent in the images, there is no metallic body coating the device, which gives air to rumors that we might see a removable battery in the Xperia XA2. Moreover, leaked images seems to be confirming that the device will be running on MediaTek’s Helio P20 SoC to go with 4GB of RAM.
However, perhaps not surpingly for a Sony device, camera will be the main attraction. As the leaked images show, a 23MP rear end camera sensor will be augmented by a astonishing 16MP front facing camera. So far we don’t have any information regarding the 4K video recording or image stablization capabilities in the camera.
We would like to mentioned that all this is still in rumors phase and nothing can be taken definitively until official announcement by Sony. But leaked images do seem suggest that Sony is working on offering a device better specs than the Xperia XA model.
