Cydia Impactor has been updated with bug fixes and stability improvements to address issues that were surfacing on Windows devices when trying to use Cydia for jailbreak, installing tweaks, and similar other tasks. However, even after the update some errors keep coming back for some users.
Out of all such errors the most common ones include the ‘provision.cpp:71’ and ‘provision.cpp:81’ error, which surfaces when user tries to install an IPA file or sideload an app on a jailbroken device via a Windows device. This is the error that shows up on the screen:
“provision.cpp:71 ios/submit/DevelopmentCSR = 7460 You already have a current iOS Development certificate or a pending certificate request.”
Thankfully, there are some ways to fix these errors which after being tested by several users appear to have worked on many devices. If you are also a victim of both or any one of the above mentioned errors and haven’t been able to find the right solution for it, then you are at the right place because here you can see how to fix “provision.cpp:71” and “provision.cpp:81” errors and start installing IPA files once again without any issue.
How To Fix “provision.cpp:71” & “provision.cpp:81” Cydia Impactor Errors To Sideload IPA Files:
There are five different methods to fix these error on Cydia Impactor which we are going to cover one by one below.
Method 1 – Update Cydia Impactor
Developer behind Cydia recently released a brand new update of the Cydia Impactor tool. You can download the new Cydia v0.9.40 from the official cydiaimpactor.com and try installing IPA files using the new version of Cydia.
Method 2 – Cancel Certificates
1 – Launch Cydia Impactor
2 – Click on the Xcode menu on the top bar and select Revoke Certificates from the drop-down menu.
3 – Here, you will be asked to enter Apple ID and password.
4 – Cydia Impactor will start revoking your certificate.
5 – Once done, try reinstalling the IPS file.
6 – That’s all.
Method 3 – Go For Install Package Option
1 – Open Cydia Impactor on your computer.
2 – Click on Device > Install Package
3 – Browse the desired IPA file and select to install it.
4 – That’s it.
Method 4 – Set Up A New Apple ID
If none of the above solutions worked for you, then the problem is perhaps with your Apple ID which you have linked to the Cydia Impactor. If, for some reason, your Apple ID is active or blocked without your notice and you keep trying to use it to install IPA files, then it won’t work. So, create a new Apple ID and use that account to sign certificates.
Method 5 – Create Password For Each App
You can also try to set a separate password for each app. Note that if you have two-factor authentication enabled for Apple ID, then the app-specific password for Cydia Impactor may already be working. If the problem remains, then delete the current app-specific password and setup a new password, see step below for it:
1 – Go to http://appleid.apple.com
2 – Now head over to the security section and click the Edit button.
3 – Delete the current app-specific password in use and create a new password.
4 – Use this new app-specific password in Cydia Impactor for sideloading IPA files. This should work now.
5 – That’s all.
