FIX 1 – Restart Computer

But, on my computer, the Hotspot Shield Fix Me app failed to run for some reason, which forced to perform manual method to run the app in order to the something went wrong error. Here are the steps:
1 – Close Hotspot Shield program on your computer. Make sure to exit it completely by clicking on the up-arrow icon in the taskbar, then right-click on Hotspot shield icon and select Quit.
2 – On computer, right-click on Hotspot Shield icon.
3 – Next, select Open file location from the context menu. It should take you to the default installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Hotspot Shield\bin).
4 – Now search for the hssfixme.exe file and double-click to run it.
Note: If you don’t see the hssfixme.exe file, then click on View (at the top left in the menu button row) and in Show hide section check the Hidden Items box.
5 – Now, wait for the hssfixme.exe file to run and do its thing to fix the error at the end of which Hotspot Shield will automatically restart.
6 – That’s it.
You can now connect the hotspot shield to the internet without any error and start surfing anonymously.
